Mission:
The Community Mediation Calgary Society, or CMCS, provides mediation services to help resolve conflict between neighbours, and within community associations and non-profit organizations. The subjects of disputes handled by CMCS include pets, parking, fences, noise, trees, and other forms of land use, as well as conflicts involving volunteer groups, families, clubs, schools, and churches.
CMCS began as a joint effort of volunteers from the Federation of Calgary Communities and the Alberta Arbitration and Mediation Society. In November of 1993, CMCS was registered as a non-profit society.
